Service Contracts

Service Contracts

The investment in heavy plant and/or equipment is significant and at Pat O’Donnell & Co., we understand the vital factors, which influence the purchasing decision. Once a customer has decided on the machine that can meet it production requirements, there are two post-sale determining features, which must be met.Firstly, how can the machine be utilized to its maximum potential and secondly, what capital depreciation will occur? At Pat O'Donnell & Co., we offer Service Contracts which can answer the above criteria. By planning regular services and repairs to a schedule convenient to the customers we are ensuring the maximum availability of the machine. Regular service and maintenance will increase the productivity of machines. A Service Contract also aims to eliminate the most costly aspect of machine-maintenance, unexpected, major breakdowns. Finally, by ensuring that world-class technicians fit only manufacturers’ parts with warranties can increase the value of machines at trade-in time. The range of machines that are serviced are:

  • Volvo Wheel Loaders
  • Volvo Excavators
  • Volvo Articulated Haulers
  • Volvo Compact Equipment
  • Volvo Backhoes
  • Volvo Graders
  • Bobcat Equipment
  • Rammer Hammers

All our technicians and engineers are fully equipped with all the necessary training to complete maintenance and repairs under the supervision of the company’s full-time Training Manager.
At the company’s head-office in Dublin a purpose-built training centre is provided to carry out a continuous training programme and the engineers from the Workshops and Field Service Team are sent around the world to complete their training on-site with manufacturers.
As the company continues to grow in all areas, and most notably the Service Department we have a continuous programme of recruiting apprentices. Once we have selected the most promising candidates, apprentices are registered with FAS to complete the ‘Construction Plant Apprenticeship’ programme.
Today, members of our management team and over 60% of our qualified fitters served their apprenticeship with us and in return we ensure that their education and training is progressed right throughout their career.
